Puerto Galera
WoW Philippines at the Suzhou Int’l Tourism Festival

The PHL Department of Tourism (PDOT) is fielding a boat entry at the forthcoming Suzhou International Tourism Festival. The annual fest draws immense number of spectators, specially for the grand parade to be staged on April 21 along the famous Suzhou River. PDOT will bring a world-class show band to perform on the "WoW Philippines" boat.

Apart from the fluvial spectacle, the PDOT will also join consumer fairs, and conduct a press briefing and business networking in Suzhou on April 22, together with its partner sponsors – Cebu Pacific Airlines and Oishi food products.

The press briefing will be led by Consul General Charles Jose of the Phil. Consulate General in Shanghai, and officials from the PDOT.

PDOT will also stage a consumer promo and outdoor musical presentation at the Robinson's Department Store in Jiading. The chain store belongs to the same Philippine conglomerate which owns the Cebu Pacific Airlines.

Cebu Pacific operates daily flight service from Shanghai to Manila, and plans to open also direct scheduled flights from Shanghai to Clark starting this summer. Clark used to be an American air base which was converted into a very progressive tourism and industrial zone.

Clark is now an airline hub in the Philippines with international flights coming from HKG, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, among others. The zone boasts of world-class golf courses, luxurious accommodations, exciting gaming options, duty-free shops, various restaurants and bars, and other leisure & entertainment facilities.

Clark is conveniently located and accessible to Metro Manila, Hundred Islands, and Subic (another world-class economic and tourism estate).
